C'est Fini! All of the subs are finished.

Grab all of the subs here, and read the instructions if you want to merge them with the episodes!
Features:
1) 75% of the script is re-worded in some way to eliminate awkward dialogue.
2) More consistency between episodes.
3) Better timing in some areas.
4) Less typos.
5) Clean and easy-to-read font.
6) Clean and simple OP Karaoke

Quick instructions:
Easy way: Install the font included in the compiled .zip or with the merging instructions. After that, drag-and-drop the .ass file pertaining to the episode you're watching onto your media player. (Works with Media Player Classic, at least.)
Hard way: Download and install MKVtoolnix, get mkvmergeGUI (mmg.exe), and merge the .ass file and font with each episode (un-check the old subs first.) (if you can't find MKVtoolnix, I included my folder at the top of this post, but I'm not sure it'll work without installing it properly.)

It's been a long time, but I've finally gone through and edited every episode's subtitles. Does this mean I'm really done? Nope.

The Nox special is a possibility, but it's not a very high priority for me right now.

Also, I will continue to fix any errors people find in the script. Mistranslations? Notify me of the proper dialog! Typos? Give me a holler and show me what I screwed up, or point out the typos that snuck in from the original subs. Missing lines? Point them out! Again, please provide translations if possible. I realize most of the end-credits skits still don't have translations. There's nothing I can do about that unless someone translates them. Missing credits? There were some episodes (10, 24, 25, and 26) that lacked credits of any sort in the original subtitles files. Please notify me of the people who initially worked on them!

Finally, a big, big thank you to everyone who translated the episodes back when they were being released! I love Wakfu enough to do this, and it evolved from a personal project to something I can share with the rest of this series English-speaking audience.

Important: If anyone wants to continue to change these subtitles in some way, please feel free to use what I've already put out as a base. I'll gladly fix more errors down the road, but if you or anyone else wants to take matters into their own hands, go right ahead! It's probably best if you keep the credits in, of course.

  1. Thanks so much for these; I used them almost immediately. I've found a couple errors, though.

In episode 6, Amalia's line at dissolves into complete gibberish ("Well, since we're he way may was try the local food"/Well, since we're here we may as well try the local food?)

Nox's dialogue at the beginning of episode 13 are a little awkward, particular at 2:30 ("This animal has become a fascinating attraction"), and 5:59-6:10 (Nox seems to be referring to as Ailbert's sacrifice as the "great mistake" in the conversation, which is obviously out of character).

Thank you for the comment. The line in episode 6 is now fixed, and hopefully I'll figure out what to change the dialogue to in episode 13 shortly.

  3. What can I say? Many times better than the original. I'm pretty sure there are still some things that could be corrected, but you did a great job. Now I can read those subs without irritation.

  5. These subs are much, much nicer than the original pack I threw together (I had to OCR some hardsubs to get a full bunch of softsubs together, it was terrible). My only real complaint is how high the subs sit on the video, but otherwise these are so so so much better in every way. Thanks for going through and doing what I didn't have the patience to do! Now we can have good-quality episodes and subs in one.

Thanks, I'm glad you like them!

If you want to adjust the subtitles' positions and lower them a bit, it's a fairly simple process to figure out after downloading and installing Aegisub. All you do is go the menu bar at the top and go to "Subtitles">"Styles Manager".

After that, double-click on the style, "Wakfu", lower the vertical number (50) under the margin area, and apply the changes.
